Created in 2004, the La Gacilly Photo Festival offers an immersive and wandering photographic experience at the heart of some thirty open-air galleries, presenting the best of contemporary photography that questions our relationship with the world and nature.
Every summer, from June to September, the public space is transformed into a shared scenic space, free and accessible to all.
La Gacilly Photo Festival offers each of its 300,000 visitors the opportunity to discover wide-format prints in the outdoors, of both the great names and upcoming photography talents.
Each summer, a double theme is developed, combining a focus on contemporary creation specific to a country or a continent on the one hand, and a societal and environmental issue on the other.
By tackling these major themes with an artistic and aesthetic approach, the festival echoes the concerns of each theme.
