Full North, Scandinavian photography in the spotlight

The Festival Photo La Gacilly is an event in its own right, like a work of art installation of territory revealing emotions and meaning, handmade by qualified, committed, curious, warm and passionate people. Its DNA is demanding, truthful, generous and accessible. But it is also the plurality, the crossing of points of view, the diversity of the approaches and the glances of the invited photographers.
Our mission is to move, inform and mobilize as many people as possible on environmental and societal issues. Faithful to our raison d’être “People and Nature”, each year we tackle new themes embodying new societal trends. Over time we build up an editorial database. It is our intangible heritage that we share with you.
A world that wants to get better keeps its eyes open and commits itself. We are convinced of this. It is for this essential reason that we strive each year to showcase at La Gacilly the best, the tragic at times, but also the wonderful, everything that makes you want to change your outlook and your frame of reference for values.
The current health context continues to shake us up.
Just as we did last year, our team is once again mobilized to think about new devices and models of meetings, linking the respect of health constraints and the tailor-made allowing inclusion, conviviality and serenity. You can count on it!
The 2021 edition will be marked by many new features. It will also be the year of experimentation, with one or more events for our visitors, our partners and our professional friends in photography… if the sanitary conditions finally improve.
