At the mythical 18 rue de la Verrerie, for more than 15 years, the designer Azzedine Alaïa has been presenting his favourites from design to photography.
The Gallery likes to create bridges between fashion, photography, design, poetry and architecture.
When he died on November 18, 2017, the creator’s dearest wish was that this place could continue to live.
Founded in 2007 in Paris, the Azzedine Alaïa Foundation is recognized as a public utility foundation on February 28, 2020.
In January 2018 the exhibition “I am a couturier” paid tribute to him.
Since then, twice a year the Foundation presents fashion exhibitions revealing her personal collection.
In November 2018, the Foundation opens a bookstore and a café where signatures, readings and conversations are organized.
The Foundation’s vocation is to preserve, show and share with students this immense heritage.
