Festival Les Étoiles du Documentaire 2017

“Television has never been more present. It’s no longer just humming in the back of the living room, it’s in train station halls, airports, tablets and smartphones. This continuous flow of images, whose overall quality is open to criticism, unfolds before our impassive eyes. And in the middle, always, of Stars, films, singular, intelligent, subjective, free, necessary.
(…) Scam has been working for 12 years to extract these Stars from audiovisual limbo. (…) Screenings, debates, disputes sometimes. We make a visceral commitment: advantage to the author. (…)
The goal is to award sixty sparkling films to an independent jury, which in turn makes the final selection of the thirty starred works. »

The 2017 jury chaired by Nino Kirtadzé was composed of Lucie Cariès, Anne Georget, Jean-Christophe Klotz, Serge Steyer and Xavier Villetard.
