Editorial by Elisabeth Kapnist, President of the Stars Jury (excerpts) “What an honor, but also what a responsibility it is to distinguish thirty works that, each in its singularity, speak to us of the world today. Real, dreamed, fantasized. A world in the form of personal, intimate, historical, social and journalistic investigations. All these films, carried by a singular glance, sometimes offbeat, sometimes poetic, always sincere, explore universes which question us, jostle us, touch us deeply. (…) We have favored audacious writing, unexpected subjects, the strength of a particular look, the sincerity of an approach. We chose thirty films with the full awareness that they reflect our five subjectivities. In the end, in their diversity, let’s hope that they reflect our collective history. »
