Les Expérimentales #3 – Mentorat des Filles de la Photo

The 3rd edition of the Mentorat des Filles de la Photo program, designed and organized by Julie Champin (Regard Suspendu), Mathilde Milesi (Image Consulting and Communication Strategy), Véronique Prugnaud (Associate Director The Eyes) and Corinna Schack (Agent for photographers / Phom) presents the exhibition Les Expérimentales #3 as part of PhotoClimat.

Mentoring
Les Filles de la Photo launched this new call for projects from April 2 to May 27, 2024.
At the end of the call, a jury composed of 10 godmothers and 4 coordinators, all volunteers, experts of Filles de la Photo and representatives of various professions of photography have selected the 5 laureates who were presented to a professional audience during an announcement evening, end of September 2024.

The Experiments #3 at PhotoClimat
Les Expérimentales #3 is an exhibition born from dialogue, trust and mutual assistance made possible thanks to the Mentorat des Filles de la Photo program.  This fifteen-month support program brings together ten godmothers, members of the association from various professional fields of photography, and five laureates with singular backgrounds: Claire Delfino, Safia Delta, Soum Eveline Bonkoungou, Hélène Jayet and Lydia Saidi.

The duos formed – Magdalena Herrera & Christine Leblond, Selma Bella Zarhoul & Feriel Simon, Marie Dathanat & Anne Degroux, Ioana Mello & Elizabeth Hering, Emmanuelle Halkin & Pascale Obolo – accompanied, stimulated and supported the laureates in the maturation of their projects, from design to their realization.

As part of the Photoclimate Biennial, the Academy of Climate welcomes these five photographic projects under construction. It is about sisterhood, community, memory, identity, human ties and repair. The representations are jostled, the narratives displaced, the techniques mixed. Each image then becomes a gesture, an act, a sensitive attempt to tell the world differently.
