From February 1 to February 25, 2023, the National Assembly welcomes “Slava Ukraini”. Composed of monumental photo prints and original works, this exhibition relates the work carried out by the urban artist C215 in Ukraine in March and April 2022. Shortly after the start of the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022, Christian Guémy alias C215 voluntarily produced a fresco in support of Ukraine on a 5-storey building in the 13th arrondissement of Paris. He then met the representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine and one of the spokespersons of the association I Stand for Ukraine who offered him to go further in his approach, which joined his wish to paint on square.

“My project was to go and paint portraits of children in the rubble because I found that the juxtaposition of the innocence of children with the material horror of war and the ambient desolation could, on an artistic level, speak more than certain speeches or certain photos. »
