Trees – 100 photos for press freedom

02.06.22

Thirty years ago, Reporters Without Borders published the first issue of 100 Photos for Press Freedom. Since its inception, the collection has been explicitly committed to the environment. From National Geographic to Vincent Munier to Sebastiao Salgado, RSF has honored the great photographers of the living world and defended all those who fight for green journalism.
How can we defend our planet if journalists are not free to investigate environmental scandals? On average, two journalists are murdered every year for wanting to shed light on these issues.

In this unusual 70th album, photographers from all over the world, of various generations and photographic styles, collectively draw up a portrait of the tree.
