5th Swiss Life 4 Hands Prize

27.01.22

Vincent Fournier (photography) and Sébastien Gaxie (music) are the winners of the 5th Swiss Life 4 Hands Prize.
Their joint work, Auctus Animalis, will be presented in Paris (Galerie Clémentine de la Féronnière and Approche), Nantes (Centre Claude Cahun), Metz (Cité Musicale), Arles (Rencontres de la photographie) and Marseille (Centre photographique).
Between history and anticipation, memory and science fiction, Auctus Animalis, a surrealist and futuristic bestiary, will question the new possible relationships with nature in our world of tomorrow.

The Swiss Life 4 Hands Prize
Created in 2014, it is the only photography and music prize in France. Aimed at revealing talents, this artistic prize rewards every two years a project of crossed and original creation of a photographer and a composer. The winners of the 5th edition are Vincent Fournier (photography) and Sébastien Gaxie (music). Their project Auctus Animalis will be presented in institutions and galleries in France, and in a tailor-made and atypical photography and music book, produced in partnership with Filigranes Editions. The two winning artists will be accompanied for two years by the Swiss Life Foundation and its artistic advisors: Emilia Genuardi for photography and Olivier Bouley for music.
