From 7 to 13 October 2024, Bayeux is welcoming the 31st Bayeux Award for war correspondents. It represents a tribute to the work carried out all year long by leading reporters and an opportunity to meet and interact with the general public, especially school students.
Clarissa Ward, President of the Jury of the 31st edition Clarissa Ward, CNN’s award-winning chief international correspondent, has agreed to chair the jury for this 31st edition. Clarissa Ward has been covering the world’s most violent conflicts for over 20 years. Her experience, her career and the respect shown to her by her fellow professionals will make her presence in Bayeux an event in itself.
CALL FOR ENTRIES Photo, radio, television and written press reports on a conflict or news event relating to the fight for freedom and democracy can be submitted until the 6th June to be considered for the 2024 selection. They must have been made between the 1st June 2023 and the 31st May 2024. A €7,000 grant is awarded in each category. +info
