Romance by Douglas Kirkland

Espace DUREV presents « Romance », the eponymous exhibition of Douglas Kirk’s latest photography book, edited by Françoise Kirkland and Sarah Menahem.

Through a selection of photographs from the publication, Romance kindles the great romantism and joie de vivre of Douglas’ works. Conjugated with legendary encounters with numerous celebrities and Hollywood movie sets, a certain intimacy surfaces from his photographic itinerary, “They have romance“ Baz Luhrmann would say. Among them, fashion works and portraits displaying some most well-known actors as Marylin Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, or Marlene Dietrich.
