Le plus petit cirque du monde, Centre for Circus Arts and Emerging Cultures, is a unique object. A hybrid place of experimentation and transmission, it is at the same time a circus school, an artistic factory, a laboratory of social links, a platform for international exchanges… At the heart of its identity, the priority district of Les Tertres – Cuverons in Bagneux (Hauts-de-Seine) whose vitality and diversity has profoundly marked the evolution of the project, confirming the association’s desire to develop a “social” vision of the circus, a driving force for the transformation of the individual and his environment. Born of the investment of very active volunteer directors, this concept permeates all the actions of the world’s smallest circus and makes it a pioneer of social circus in France and internationally. Installed in its new spaces, designed by Loïc Julienne and Denis Favret of the architecture studio Construire, Le plus petit cirque du monde continues to develop around an ethical, civic, solidarity, cosmopolitan and interdisciplinary project based on three axes. – living in a place and its territory – accompany and transmit – experiment and research
