Dance in Close-Up, Hans van Manen by Erwin Olaf

The Rabouan Moussion Gallery presents the exhibition Dance in Close-up, a dive into the world of choreographer Hans Van Manen photographed by Erwin Olaf. From their friendship born in 1983, the two artists have produced a series of photographs that capture some of Van Manen’s most emblematic choreographies. Linked by their admiration for Robert Mapplethorpe, the photographer and choreographer present an exhibition that celebrates the bodies of dancers, from arched backs to flexed toes and outstretched fingers.
