C’est dans la Vallée – 2013

Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines ·

18.10.13 → 20.10.13

Here is the complete program of the 2013 edition of the festival “C’est dans la vallée”. It will take place on October 18th, 19th and 20th.
To make a fresh start, after the memorable 2010 edition which marked its 10th anniversary, we have chosen to further strengthen the creative dimension of the program. This is why we have decided to organize two exceptional evenings at the Theatre, designed especially for the Festival, and which will only take place on this occasion.
The Friday evening will bring together French and Swiss artists around the Psychopharmaka project; Anna Aaron (from Basel) and the Bernese-born Stephan Eicher, the Hell’s Kitchen from Geneva, will join Rodolphe Burger and Olivier Cadiot, for an exceptional concert that will make Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines, and for one evening, the “capital of the Three Borders”.
The Saturday evening should make as much of a date as a certain ball in Avignon in 2011: a great rock ball will be given at the Theatre in the company of artists Christophe, Rachid Taha and a host of equally prestigious guests. This dream orchestra will be formed at the end of a creative residency at the Klein Leberau studio.
The opening concert by Charles Berberian and Herman Düne’s Yaya, and the closing concert by Bertrand Belin in the Church of Saint-Pierre-sur-l’Hâte, are in response to special invitations from the festival.
The same will be true of the Saturday program in Saint-Pierre-sur-l’Hâte, with a reading of unpublished texts by Olivier Cadiot, a concert by the Facteurs Chevaux, and a creation by Yves Dormoy.
Cinema is once again honored with the new film by Fred Poulet and the extraordinary “Leviathan”, a multi-prime film, which we are presenting as part of our partnership with the EntreVues de Belfort festival.
The Barathon’s free concerts will present the finest emerging bands from the regional scene.
The Sunday afternoon tea dance, an innovation, should bring generations together and give a festive end to this year’s edition.
As for the other surprises that we have in store for this year’s public, it is the rule that they remain secret!
