Call for Submissions for the Swiss Life 4 Hands Award 2024-2025 Photography & Music

The call for applications is open from Thursday 1 June, 8.00 am to Sunday 1 October 2023, midnight. Beyond this limit, incomplete files will not be accepted.
You must apply as a duo: a photographer AND a composer.
Before applying: please read the full rules and schedule. Any application not meeting the conditions will not be accepted.

The Swiss Life 4 Hands Prize, awarded every two years by the Swiss Life Foundation, is the only prize in France that combines the talent of one. e photographer and a. e composer for the creation of an original work.

Endowment of the Prize:
A €15,000 grant for each artist
Payment of production costs up to €8,000 including taxes
A tailor-made edition of photography and music artists Editions Filigranes which will be available if possible for the first exhibition.
Unlancement in 2024: Revelation in Arles, from July to September;
An exhibition route in 2025: Jeu de Paume, Paris: from February 4 to 25; Jeu de Paume – Château de Tours: from June 16 for a period of 3 months.
A participation in a music festival that will be determined based on the musical style, on a date to be determined.
Accompaniment by artistic advisors: Emilia Genuardi for photography and Stéphane Amiel for music.

Selection process: Following the call for applications, the Swiss Life Foundation team and its artistic advisors will pre-select a maximum of 9 applications. The shortlisted duets will be notified on Friday 17 November and will be received on Tuesday 21 November 2023 by the Artistic Committee. The final list of finalists will be decided at the end of these meetings.

Jury: it will be held on Monday, December 4, 2023 in Paris, in face-to-face, for all the finalists. The winners will be announced the same day after the jury has deliberated.
